All about me (and my views)

Hello glad you made it this far. I am The Eclectic Southern Mom. I am from central Arkansas, a mom of a wonderful daughter who is six years old, an avid thrifter /sale shopper, crafter, kickball player, a caregiver for an adult with special needs (whom lives with me), and a part-time bartender. I also attend a local church that is non-denomination. Let me make this clear I am not your A-typical Christian. I believe in BEING the Church. I respect ALL religions. I have friends who are Christians, Muslims, Agnostic, and even one that is a "Satanist". I have many different translations of the bible on my shelf, but I also have a Quran. I also believe that as a Christian you shouldn't push your religion onto anyone else. People will see the way you act and how you show love to people. That is how they come to truly want to know God. My "Satanist" friend talks to me all the time about God. We have great conversations about it. She respects me. One day she even had a client (she does hair) ask, "do you know where I could attend church this Sunday that will not look at me crazy for having pink hair and tattoos?" She told her I sure do and she called me up. That woman attended my church that Sunday.
You see if you respect other people. They will in turn respect you. Whether you have the same views or not. Its called being a good human, and sometimes its called being a good Christian. I didn't intend for this post to be about religion but somehow that's what flowed out. Maybe its on my mind today because a friend called me today to ask if I wanted to go to a Hillsong and Kari Jobe concert on Friday. I am super excited. I love worship music and I have even been to the church that Kari Jobe attends twice hoping that she would be there. Well I am going to try and get some sleep. Although that is highly unlikely as my special needs daughter has been feeling the need to wake up every morning at 3 am.

Be a good person.
